I find this image to be particularly striking. The way everything is framed, and where it is placed, is quite well-conceived. I've seen a good number of images similar to this, but that doesn't seem very relevant to the quality in this case, and it might just be because I personally tend to seek out these types of images. The black and white is balanced well and very pleasing, however the vignetting is a bit too heavy, and the fact that it's almost completely black at the top is distracting-- I'm left feeling like the image is too obscured. The actual subject would stand out more if you had left more of the sky as a paler negative space, or even if you had just made it seem less like a gigantic vignette and more like a dramatic sky (the latter possibly accomplished by reducing the vignette on the bottom?). Overall, great job.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
